Daniel Spoerri

Daniel Spoerri, alias D.Issac Feinstein, was born in Galati (Rumania) in 1930.
He moved to Switzerland in 1942 and approached art through dance, mime, theatre, opening restaurants and laying tables for sumptuous meals in art galleries. He was poet and writer, he joined the Fluxus and created with the help of other people the MAT editions, art multiples. He is particularly well known for the tableaux-pièges which are assembled supports or horizontal layers (later vertically placed) of various objects of daily use.
After living in New York, Simi, Greek island, Düsseldorf, Paris and in other parts of the word, after different experiences, in the second half of the ‘90s he approached the small country of Seggiano, giving rise to the project of a park-museum of sculptures and installations.
