Wiesbaden 1934-1992
Joe Jones, artist of the Fluxus Group, was born in Wiesbaden in 1934. John Cage had a great influence on him since the beginning. He built real sound machine, powered by an electric motor that made them vibrate like musical instruments, played by invisible fingers. Thanks to this system he succeeded in reproducing sounds from the most various instruments until he created a small symphonic orchestra.
He died in Wiesbaden in 1992.
