Lucio Fontana (Rosario di Santa Fè, 1899 – Comabbio 1968)

He founded the spatialist movement and became its main representative.

After developing the Manifesto Blanco (1946), his interests turned to spatial art research that he spread through manifesto and works (Concetti Spaziali series) where the problem of space is dealt with the perforation or cut of the medium used (canvas, paper, copper, zinc).

Roberto Crippa (Monza, 1921 – Milano 1972)

After following the spatialist experience of L.Fontana (Spirali 1948-53), he devoted to matter research, passing and melting the concept of painting and sculpture.
Particularly significant the paintings characterized by the introduction into the canvas of cork sheets, metallized paper, etc.  of different shape, used like abstract collage elements.
