Clara Brasca

Clara Brasca was born in Milan where she lives and works.
She graduated at The Artistic Highschool of Brera and she graduated in Architecture at the Politecnico of Milan. Her art is concentrated fast exclusively on oil painting on linen according to the most ancient techniques of “veiling”, where   the new mean is not important any longer but the new thinking related to the chosen language is. The problem of light and its representation is a focal point of her research, which develops through the use of non-naturalistic and complementary colors.
The subjects and themes of her works move freely from figures, to landscapes and dead nature; therefore in a classic tradition (not neoclassic) convinced that the classical thinking crosses like a red thread the whole western culture and by developing this thought we can talk of and produce contemporary works behind the ephemeral fashions of the moment.
